Up, Up and Away! – This spellbinding special event introduces children to the principles of air and pressure. Hot air balloons, vortex generators and even a hovercraft will help children understand the power of air.

Spin, Pop Boom – The audience will be amazed when the Mad Scientist is able to defy gravity in this energetic and spectacular special event. Didgeridoo tubes, foaming hands and steaming chemical reactions will introduce children to a world of exciting chemistry.

Marvels of MotionThis interactive event is all about the fundamentals of moving science including Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion and surprises including egg-tossing and a tablecloth transformation. Discover the science behind some of your favorite Olympic sports and find out why this show is such a “blast!”

Slime: Slippery, gooey fun with polymers! Transform two regular liquids into an oozing batch of your very own slime to take home. Scientific Principles: Polymer Science, States of Matter, Chemical Reactions

Science Nights/Family Nights/Parent Involvement

Looking for something new, fun and science related for parent night programming? Mad Science offers parent involvement programs that encourage kids to bring their parents along and cover the science they are already studying in the classroom. It's an hour of extra fun science with parents that hit the grade level learning outcomes and everyone loves it!

Highlights of these programs include:

  • Hands-on science workshops that cover grade level material
  • Correlates to the state standards for each grade
  • High energy Mad Scientists that guide the parents and kids through the workshops
  • Take home item to reinforce what was taught for each student

Scheduling a parent involvement night also offers an opportunity for the school to host an assembly and receive a stage show prior to the scheduling night with the parents. This affords the kids a chance to get really excited and encourage their parents to come to school and check out all the fun things they've been learning.
